The BA XR8 replicas I had been waiting for arrived today. To pass the time waiting for the courier to arrive around 4ish I spent the day washing, waxing and detailing Monty. Then I took to the brakes and painted them silver. After what seemed an eternity the truck arrived and I washed and fitted the wheels and they look fantastic on the EL Fairmont. Glad I chose silver for the brakes too, they look sweet throught the rims and the silver suits the Cinnamon body colour nicely.
I've taken some photos and will post them once I get them developed and scan them. The only digital camera I have is my phone and the pics don't do the car justice. Darin.

They are 17". I have mentioned them in a couple of other peoples related threads... been a bit excited about it
The rims cost me $875 inc. centre caps and $66 to freight from Melbourne to Adelaide. I've only got a couple of shots left on the camera, I'll take some photos of the heat or something equally wasteful to finish the film and process it tomorrow. Should have pics here tommorow night. The Fairmont is looking lavish at the moment, freshly detailed Thanks for the comments guys

Awesome dude, can't wait to see pics. I reckon your car is one of the sweetest ELs around, should look even better with these wheels.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I took the rolls (yes rolls!) of film in today to be processed and the photo shop couldn't do them same day, will be picking them up on Monday after work... Grrrr
@ Mike Gayner - Thanks mate, comments like that help me convince myself I'm not wasting too much time washing my damn car @ Thantos - I know its cruel, but I just had to tell! @ Smoked - I got them from Wheels Direct in Melbourne. He has wheels up on Ebay a lot. @ XRated - $875 was wheels only. Was going to get rubber here to lower the freight costs but then the shop I bought them off had a tyre deal going with no extra freight, so how could I say no to that, much less running around. With tyres they came to $1475. @ EFFalcon - You're not wrong there. I find a lot of Adelaide tyre shops most unhelpful when it comes to finding wheels they normally aren't interested in stocking and the prices some of them quote is rude. @ Van Gelder - Call me nostalgic, I enjoy the idea of not knowing instantly if you stuffed up the shot ;)

Do you know if they have 18" copies? I saw them on ebay but was confused with the ad. I know they had 17" and 18", but I'm not sure if the 18" were for the E-Series offset.

Looking forward to the pics. I've seen them on an early E series on the previous forums and they suit it very nicely. And that price is similar to what ONE of the wheels I've ordered cost me. I'd hit it.

Van, the wheels aren't for the EA. The ROH wheels I have are irreplaceable, though they won't be replacing the 14 GL rims for a while.
Now let's get some pics happening. |

Yeah that is the BBS rim in my avatar. On its way from the US, and cheapest postage quote was US$450 or so. If nothing else, it's a combination that hasn't been done before to my knowledge.
To avoid getting off topic, here is the only pic I've seen so far of an E series with the BA wheels. |
