Default Need advice on choosing decal wording

Gonna put one of those FG styled spoiler wing decals on my BF Rebel. (As used on the FG Mk1 GS).

I
m tryin to figure out what text / numbers to put on it.
It's getting a tune in about a month & Im hoping for what would roughly translate to about 220kw at the engine.
Ideas I had so far:

Barra 220
Barra 4000
Barra 4L DOHC
Rebel Shaker

Barra 220 was the 1st choice but Im not sure bout it now, since I heard about the BA (or was it BF?) Fairmont SOHC V8 motor that has the same name. Im thinking that maybe people would confuse the decal with that motor?

Anyway any ideas appreciated...

Those names all seem too long, as you can see the 302 is only just fitting and driving along you'd be able to clearly see the 302.

But it makes it hard to try make one out of 220kw without just going with blatant numbers.

I personally would use "4000" or "4.0" in the decal. Out of those that you listed, I'd pick "Barra 4000" and "Barra 4L DOHC". How about "4.0i DOHC" in a nod to the E series? Or, alternatively, "I6 4000"/"I6 220".

The BF 3V V8 was known as the "Barra 220".

I would think that the OP would use two rows. However, I agree, brevity is key, so I wouldn't use more than 2 rows.

yep 2 rows if needed.
the wing on the BF is a bit bigger too.
But you all are right, it'll need to be fairly short & sharp I guess
The ideas are good & are helping me think about it - cheers.
any other ideas welcome.

I like the FPR Falcon emblem .... have seen them before and they suit that shape.

I think that is better than wording or numbering.

I agree with this, the only problem I have with saying the power of your car is that, the power can rise when you modify the car further, where as 302 and 315 is what the cars come out with so whether or not the car is modified you still know that it's relating to the cars production power.

My Dad's XR8 has the FPR emblems in that same spot. They look great, as you say, but I'd like to get something different & more specific to the car.

If you get your car dyno'd & have a rough idea of the engine kw's, is there really a prob with putting that instead of the production kw? I see what you mean if I did more mods & got more power tho.

Those phrases are all too long. I think the sticker will look too busy and alot of people (who aren't ford fans) won't know terms like "Barra" or even "I6"

lol... looks like your in NZ so doubt that you would be puting an australian flag on it.

how about a siloete of a kiwi ( the bird type )

if you go with the power output , make sure you dont have a higher number then the dyno sheet or everyone will give you crap about false advertising

kiwis & aussie flags, man I dunno bout the people on here...

Im goin with

BARRA
4000

If I say Barra 190, I feel Ive already got some extra kw, so I dont feel like that does it for me
Average person on the street doesn't probably know what I6 or Barra are, so I dont think it matters, plus it's the name of the motor (just like Boss is, & that's on decals already on Falcons) so if people ask I'll just say 'that's the name of the motor'

The 4000 is easily understood to be the cc rating, & with mods or not that's still the same.
