Default Diagnostic Test

Hey guys, how much would you expect to pay for an hour long diagnostic test? (AU XR8) i' ve been quoted $130 b my local Ford dealer...any help is appreciated

that would be pretty close. I was quoted about $85 for a 6 and that was 18 months ago through a local mechanic.

Depends on where you go and what software they use. Obviously Ford will be the most expensive and presumably the most comprehensive. We have a Snap On scanner at work and have almost always been able to sort out anything electrically. Things like current or history fault codes, live data, actuator and relay tests etc.

The only thing your paying for is the labour time. $130 an hour is about what dealerships are charging these days for all their work.
