bf icc security code urgent help!!!

today i pulled out the icc to fit a overlay touchscreen, refitted the icc, security code came on the screen,
with the ignition off i pressed the volume button nothing
turned the car on [starts ok] still no response from all the buttons on the entire icc, the icc screen lights up though.

There's no code, are you sure it's back together correctly and it's seated back in the plug and socket at the rear correctly?
Pull it out again and make sure the socket attached to the car is pulled all the way out before reseating the ICC.

the big white plug at the back, how do you pull it foward to hear a click, i've tried pulling it outward nothng is there a special way to pull it foward??
does it matter which plug i pull out first [the 5x plugs under the icc??

Yes it matter which ones- if the battery is still connected. If the wring plug is pulled first with the battery connected you can damage that

damage what?? and yes the battery was still connected when i pulled the plugs out

From memory the plugs are removed right to left and connected in the reverse.

And as mentioned, the order is important.
Did you hear lots of relay clicking when you were unplugging the plugs?

i'll have another go tomorrow if all else fails, i'll just take it to asl to get them to have a look??

Might be a good idea, and no problems for the advice.

__________________only when i connected the second one from left [black] first then soon as i connected the first from left [white] the clicking stop..
have i damaged the icc?? or a relay

Ok, doesn't that post cover the plug order and the white socket pulling out?

yes it does but for the life of me i can't to seam to pull the white connector foward to hear a audible click

i had a second look at the video it seams that the white plug in my car is fully out so what could it be?? would i cause something when i unpluged the 5x plugs in different sequence

check if you havent damaged any of the pins on the connectors while sliding ICC in and out, sometimes due to removal and refit pins get bent or broken

Great video. I own a 2006 bf Futura and the main white plug and black surround need replacing. Can this be done?

I also need to if this plug can be replaced. I have broken the clips on the black part and cannot get it to plug in because it pushes the plug back into the dash

Searching for an answer to this problem there is not much that is mentioned on what resolves the issue, today I did a job where i needed to replace a faulty ICC, and once i fitted the new unit i got the "CODE" come up on the screen, long story short, the bottom right bolt that holds the ICC unit to the car is an earth point, and once i screwed the bolt in the "CODE" went away, just thought this info would be useful for someone in the future.
