Default -1.5c ....Nice morning for trimming the yard

the fantastic people next door had techno blaring solidly until 3am this morning. I managed to fall asleep a little after that, but set my alarm so i can hit the yard with the line trimmer & mower.

I may or may not concentrate my efforts outside their bedroom window

If you have colour bond fencing you know you need to edge lightly against it dont go to hard so you mark it just lightly, unfortunate if you go lightly it makes a little more noise but that's better than damaging your fence

Also those petrol powered edgers with th steel blade do an excellent job against your drive way and side path

Talking REALLY LOUDLY to the missus about the progress of your yard work is also helpful to alleviate the boredom from doing said yard work.

my 'to do' list also involved washing the car straight after, with 800w RMS of radio playing whilst i shammy'd the big girl

in hindsight, i shouldve just done that in the first place, wouldve been easier

Yea it never ceases to amaze me how some neighbours just love to stretch the friendship by carrying on like turkeys all night, then are the first to whinge when your mowing or doing actual work on your house during daylight hours....

just to add to my original post, these are the neighbours on the other side. I talked to the bloke a couple times, he seemed ok, then he went quite, then he put up steel posts on the gutter between the fence line to prevent us from taking our driveway wide as its a steep gutter with it being a little washed out

you can imagine how awkward it was entering our house, it took 3 months for the the council to make him take it down, and i managed to keep it together in that time. I dont like confrontation becuase i have a very short fuse with certain people

+1 for washing the car with a really noisy pressure cleaner and the occasional overspray when cleaning the roof.

The kicker for me would be old school country music blaring away. I'm talking old school ie Dolly Parton, Slim Dusty, Willie Nelson etc...

Council couldve just removed it without bothering to say anything to him as its council land.

and I understand the short fuse... i have no tolerance anymore for the idiots i have living next door in government housing.

wow, the bloke seems like abit of a goose for doing that.

i have an elderly single lady on one side with a little fat (cute) dog that barks at me every so often, on the other is an elderly couple that say hello to me while im in the yard working...
the house two houses up from mine (couple in their 30s)had a party last weekend, playing **** dance music really loud & to top it off they were also bashing away on a drum kit till 3am.

I do make abit of noise every so often working on the cars but i wait till after 9am to do so, never had an issue.

the couple whos yard backs onto my place would wake me up as early as 5am with ROARING arguments, they would also argue all night, doesnt happen anymore because one of them moved out.

Been there done that. Had bad neighbours. Have good neighbours now and will never move again. Don't bother playing games, its not worth the frustration. If they break the law call the guys who enforce the law.

Nearly every Friday night the mother next door goes and and her kids and friends used to kick the footy into our fence, light petrol bombs, throw sparkers everywhere.
All this whilst having a 6month old baby in the front room of our unit. Been so tempted to call DHS on the silly bong rat.

Yup mowing works, better yet just start it and leave it by the fence, go back inside and watch the telly. I've done this a couple of times over the years, works a treat. Oh the exhaust falls of my mower too

Yep I too cannot stand stupid neighbours.

Few days after moving into our new house, guy across the road comes over and asks (tells) us not to park out the front of our own house because it makes it hard to get out of his driveway. We park out the back 99% of the time so no big deal.
Anyway few days later his wife decides to park completely across our driveway, even when there were other parks available. About a week later this guy parks his car so close to our driveway that his back bumper is right on the edge of our driverway, which means his rear spare tyre was actually over the driveway. Plus they park opposite our driveway 24/7 which does make it a bit harder to get in and out.

I think my trailer now has a new parking space, out the front of my house right opposite his driveway, just need to sort something out to prevent it from getting stolen.

You can get special locks for trailers which make it extremely difficult to hitch onto a tow ball unless its removed Ben. Also consider a wheel clamp for the wheel of the trailer so it cannot be manually moved by hand.
