They are a great little car, the 1.8ltr's are extreamly fast for what they are and they rev very cleanly all the way to 7500, well mine does, I've taken on a few VS V6 commode's and run alongside them all the way, but V8's forgot it, but that's not what I bought mine for, the fuel consumption on them are Fantastic, I get over 600klm to a tank in town on a 55litre tank, easy to drive, comfy for their size, My little KJ is great.

Lasers, whatever model are good cars. My mate had a bubble model and we gave that thing absolute s**t and it still runs. He had numerous excursions up the gutter with little damage. His was carby so the only downside was fuel consumption but seeing as though your looking at a 94 model it won't be a problem. Definately worth a thought.

Lasers. are orsum. My family in total has owned 3.
1988 KE, done us well for 8 years, we brought it new. and flogged it around, could not fault it. i've owned 2. a 1983 KB Sports. twin carb, all extras. got upto 192, testing highway ptrol police equipment. reallible would be an understatement. fuel somsumption is nothing. however i regret trading it in for my current laser a KJ. My KJ 1997 is just as great. fuel economy is great. nothing can go wrong. i just miss the KB, it was a hell of a lot of fun. The KJ is unreal. I have even gave it a run against a ferrari 360. got photo i prove to.

I owned a 96 KJ Laser 1.6, never had any problems that were not caused by me driving it too hard. It was a Pizza Delivery Mule, and clocked up 70,000km in its first year, ended up selling after 6 years when it hit 200,000! Would handle preetty good if you got rid of the standard rubber, and could nudge the rev limiter (6700rpm?) in top gear... (Well it did once!) Very reliable cars. I am actually considering going back to a 1.8 soon, as i need another run about due to the wife taking over the "Family Car"

That's the thing with these little BP motor's, they rev like a cut snake, and very cleanly all the way.
