I looked at it hoping that it wasn’t an original 300SL and to my relief it is based on a replica.

I think that Mercedes would be a bit annoyed about it wearing the 3 pointed star – even Brabus aren’t allowed to use it (and that company has former Mercedes board members in it). They did seem to let b&b use their logo for their reimaging of the C-111 which morfed in to the Imperator, but that was a long time ago (30 years?….).

It’s no worse than some of the “improved” Shelby Cobra replicas – Autocraft Mk IV with the extended nose, the Canadian Aurora (thick foam filled windscreen surround?) and one that used the doors of an MGB (they were readily available and had wind up windows).

Its missing a chrome front bar, otherwise its not too bad. And Benz logo on the mesh is horrid, actually take the mesh with the badge a put a grille in there.

Looks very good, but sure needs a chrome bar up front. I am expecting to see that in a bond movie..

Needs those tiny hook bumper bars that are used on hot rods or Ac cobras. Just a bit of chrome would look nice I think.
