Whats the point of starting a thread without putting up a link? I just checked ebay and there is only 1 eb gt for sale for $24,000.

Why do people always insist theirs is better or bigger than others? T3, GT, who gives a?
I like them both, I'm not about to have an internal struggle with myself over whichever I like better. OP eBay links should be in the eBay thread, stickied at the top of this page. Thanks bud

Both the EB and EL GT body apendages were designed in a wind tunnel, to help stop body lift at speed. And had flares to cover the wider wheels, vents in the bonnet to aid in cooling. But, yes, continue your senseless trolling...

Its not a 'No Reserve' auction unless the price starts at nothing (hence the term 'No Reserve'). Car looks legitimate - the VIN clearly displayed. Maybe the guy just wants to sell the car without much fuss - rather than playing the game with buyers for months on end. If I was in the market for something like this - I would take a serious look at it.

You can have a $10k start bid with a $20k reserve, annoyingly, the reserve on eBay auctions is hidden, so unless the seller tells you what it is you won't know. Or you can start at $10k with no reserve and any bid can get it. There's your difference. |

So 2 days off the end and still no bids. I'll be interested to see if the owner will let it end at that price with one bid. I reckon he'll pull the listing hours before the end if thats the case - seen it so many times before.

First - my original point. Having a 'No Reserve' auction with a starting bid is not a 'No Reserve' auction - because the seller is setting the first bid benchmark. If you've got 'No Reserve', then you're there to sell it - for whatever it gets. A true 'No Reserve' Auction starts with 0.01c or 0.99c - so technically one bid will buy it - even for $1.00. Annoyingly - most people just add the words "No Reserve" so people find it - no different than how people list "XT Falcon Wheel Nut May Suit XY XW XR GT HO V8" etc. The reserve should be hidden from buyers - and once it has been met - then the auction continues on until the time runs out and the highest bid is given. If you are the buyer - you shouldn't be worried about the reserve anyway. You should be bidding the MOST you are willing to pay for the item. And if you bid $10k on an item that has a $20k reserve, you will know that you have not offered what the seller wants - and it is up to you to bid more (if you want to) or walk away at that point. If you were to bid $25k for the same item - and the reserve was $20k - and you are the leading bidder - then the auction will show that the reserve has been met - and you will have the leading bid at $20k (not the $25k you have bid). And you will continue to lead the bids until you are outbid. So even though you've bid $25k - you could actually end up paying $22k - because you will only pay what the next highest bidder has bid (until you pass your initial bid of $25k). So - as I first said - a proper NO RESERVE auction has no opening price - and no set first bid. If it's done correctly.

In my eyes, still a bloody good looking car.
And the cheapest way into a GT in this day age IMHO. |
