Hey guys,
What do you reckon, keep the pinstripes or take em off? I'm not too sure which way to go, but part of one has come off, so it'll have to be replaced if I keep them.. Thanks to neb for the photoshops http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4..._EF8/Side2.jpg http://users.tpg.com.au/adsleq58/ima...2-nostripe.jpg

Rip them off, makes the body look cleaner and sleeker, which as a whole is fully sick, with a capital F, (1st L), Y, I and K.

it does look alright with them on, but i like it alot more with them off... like selekta said makes it look cleaner and sleeker, the shape of the car seems to flow better with them off

If you keep them, consider some whitewall tyres to match.

KEEP THEM ON!
well, if you want to look like and be like every other ef out there.. lowered.. clear indicators.. no stripes.. take them off by all means. but pfft, who wants "just another e-series" LEAVE THEM ON! and that's my two cents! but at the end of the day.. its your car do whatever appeals to you most!

I think they add a bit of character.. without it looks cleaner but with them it looks classier and differnet. Plus I think they really suit the rims.

i dunno seems a small number of fairmonts have it and other dont.. im speaking for el's as thats what i usually look at it must have been a factory option or something.... my pinstriping is weird i reackon the previous owner put it on cause ive never seen pin stripping that goes all the way to the tail light weird. Oh and i didnt buy it from a dodgy car yard i got it from the auctions so i know they didnt put it on :

How hard to repair striping that's coming off Aaron?
If too difficult - rip em off. If easy, fix it up and keep em on - looks classy.

my argon silver ef fairmont has pin striping and it goes all the way down the quarter panel and sits only about 30MM from the front indicators,, i recon it looks heaps better that way,(biassed opinion), maybe its got to do with when they were made, cos mine is an august 95, and ive seen heaps exactly the same as mine and heaps with it cutting off short like on the black fairmont we are talkin bout.. weird ay,, and no mine isnt from dodgey sales yard its been passed on down thru family. hey look at ya fairmonts owners manual the car on the front hasnt got any striping,, maybe it was an option. dunno??

AaronEF8 keep the pinstripe, it looks great on your car. Pinstripes scream luxury (especially on an unblinged EF Fairmont/Ghia. Dont you dare get the EL Ghia 'grandpa bling' mouldings as another member has suggested (my op, no offence intnded) =) |

My EF GLi had them on it when I first got it. Needless to say they were gone within half an hour of picking the car up.
