It's been done, I seem to recall a guy named Mark Dallaqua(sp?) in the 1990's had a green Escort sedan with a blown 351C in it, can't remember the specifics, suffice to say it would have been far from a bolt in fit.

I have been doing a lot of research and its never being roa registered so doesn't have to be perfect am going to build an engine plate to mount it and lake a tunnel and gearbox mount. The only thing is can I simply flip the sump around and extend the pick up tubing to clear the mid mounted steering rack and cross member or anything like that. But needless to say will have some bodgy things happening as its only for a burnout car

gday
have a look a few posts down about v8 escort, www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11374918[/url] the red one has a 5.0 windsor and further down the page is my green rs2000 engineered and street registered with a cleveland,c4 and 9 inch etc it is possible but not sure how the new rules are with engineering/rego though but if its just for burnouts,no worries mine is engine plated and the motor sits behind the front cross member so you loose a little foot room and the glove box is engine bay, lol not fun changing plugs.ie motor out but awesome fun

Ya know I never noticed that ! I think that under bonnet lining is removable and there's a cut out? I really don't know.
