Default 3v 14.5

hi all,
rang my car last night at wsid and was pretty happy with a 14.5 considering i have only done headers and cat back exhaust everything else is factory including the 225 cheese cutters on the back which didnt help me once the night cooled down, but all in all im happy with the performance and what i really want now is a lsd so i can get the power down once the heat is gone from the track.

That's a good time mate. What was your 60ft time and your MPH? Is it auto or manual? Does it still have the stock cats?

Cheers.

That's a great 60ft time for an auto. What rpm did you stall it up to?

Good on ya mate. Go the 3v's. I havnt been to the drags for a long while now but my best time yet is 13.9 in my 3v. Thats with a few more mods than yours. Put a new intake on mine and moddified the exhaust system a bit more since that run. Just wanting the perth motorplex to start up woopass wednesdays again to see what she pulls now.

Cheers

Seen it run there too!
I left early, but seen it pull a 14 flat.

Good time for a luxury saloon with billets. I reckon a decent tyre combo, you should be able to get a decent 13.

I ran my stock as a rock BA XT v8 3v at heathcote the other day for giggles. It went 14.85@94. No mods at all. I drove around the water and took off on dry tyres, no wheel spin.

Are your spark plugs 90,000 kays old or were the coils were playing up?

I dont want to spend all my hard earned on the tow car getting tunes and exhausts done. Running a 14.8 is quite respectable considering I drove 5 hours to get to the track. And as for no wheels spin, this is smart not due to lack of power. I have learnt from being around the drags for the past 10 years that doing a burnout on street tyres is pointless as they do not increase in grip like racing tyres do. I drove around the water and saved my street tyres.

How long has this been like this for? It was a pain cause the announcers wouldnt always say what the cars were running.
