hey guys,
currently looking at buying an el xr8, hopefully a series 2. i'm not intierly sure whether it is a series 2 or not. the current owner has told me that the car came off the line during august. i am yet to confirm this. but from the reasearch i've done, and just by looking at photos of the engine bay, it appears to have the series 2 explorer inlet manifold. can anyone tell me by looking at this photo wether or not it's a series 2? or give me some idea as to how i can tell when i go and look at the car this sunday. please be specific my mechanical experiece is limited to tinkering arround with my straight 6 xf, so a bit of detail would be appreciated. cheers |

That looks like an HO manifold to me...
Was there a difference in the size of front and rear sway bars between the EL XR8 Series 1 and 2's? |

According to this site
http://www.geocities.com/falconfacts.../elfalcon.html The 185kw motor was from October owards, thus this one your lookimg at would be a 170kw motor. Confirmed at the FPV site http://www.fpv.com.au/index.asp?link_id=4.127 |
