Question Car Transport Advice

Hey all,
wasnt sure which area to post this.
I have an EB to pick up in near Ballina, its all good, except its
been smartlocked. I was going to go up & try the easy fixes, thumping near the
handbrake, checking the interior light fuse, etc.
Decided i cant risk that, if nothing works ive wasted a trip.
Has anyone had experience in using a car trailer with a winch to transport
a few hundred KM's??
The one i looked at said 1200kg capacity, with a 2000kg tow vehicle.
So, i shouldnt use my EB to tow, even though the engine is coming out?
And whats the risk of the vehicle exceeding the 1200 by 2-300 kgs?
ANy experience or advice in this area, would be appreciated.
I need to sort this out asap. I cant afford the 700 odd bux for car transport.
thanx heaps
matt

Default Re: Car Transport Advice

I had an EB that freaked out when I pulled out the radio, I found a section in the owners handbook which explained how to start it, if I remember rightly I had to turn everything off then turn the key to acc for a set time, after that car would start once only. To start again you had to wait for the time period again.
