Im assuming you dont actually control the car? Is it a bit like Bspec on Gran Turismo 4 where you command it how to behave?

you just mess with the car settings and see what lap times those settings get you.

Its actually quite neat how it works.... Certainly teaching me a few things... although one thing that doesnt quite make sense to me, is that the 'system' recommends lowering the front tyre pressures.... like to half the amount the back is? Go figure... whatever works

I have been racing for a bit now. Started off with some bad results, but considering I am not sharing info with my team mate, as he has left, I am going ok. 2 Podiums at Winton.

FalconSR, Its fairly simple. Go into Your Desk. From there it will tell you all the current champ info.
From there head to The garage section.
Set up your Car Setup. In the car setup, you should set it somewhere in the green bars. Each test run you do, you will be given more information, and it will get you closer to that perfect setting.
Set your driving Style. Aggressive? Careful with the Tyres, or chew em up? Treat the car well, or throw it about?
Then onto Your Quali Strategy- Set your pace, and set your times you want to be on the track during the sessions. Also set which tyre you would like to use.
Race Strategy to finish- Set what type of tyres you use when the weather changes. Also decide whether to stay out on the wrong tyres should the weather change, or dive in and change to wets?
You can also set it, so if a safety car comes out within X laps of your pit stop, you will reschedule your stop within the safety car period.

It was daunting to start with, but now I have the hang of it!
Hope that helps, and makes sense

Darran

Each session takes 24 hours to go thru. Testing... Qualify... Warmup... Race...
It will tell you in your desk, when the next session is due to be completed.

While setting the car up, it is a lot easier if you communicate with your team mate. As they may have some "Spot On" settings that you do not have.
I am in a series, where I have no team mate at the moment. Still going ok.
