EA Sports remaking the classic arcade game... NBA JAM to be released only on Nintendo Wii October 2010! (Xbox 360 & PS3 are in talks but at this stage the game is a Wii exclusive).

EB Games Australia has the game on pre-order and its only $48.00!!

Loved playing this game as a kid

Looks average for 2010.

Hardly revolutionary...

For me personally, Wii is nothing but a novelty.

If it comes out on PC, I am very likely to consider it...when it comes down in price, will definitely get it.

obviously not an NBA jam fan..

i went and bought another SNES and NBA jam TE bout 2 years ago just to relive the fun.. lets say that the SNES looks pretty pixelated on a 50" screen.. haha.

saw previews for this months ago, just hoping its ported to ps3.

Actually, I am a big NBA Jam fan. I own it on Mega Drive, I borrowed it off a friend for about a year for the SNES, and also had TE on PC.

But I just think the Wii sucks, and I expect better for $48.

I think it would be great on XBox or PS3, and best on PC...if it was on PC, I would buy it.

I agree with UD on the Wii being a novelty.

Did they bring out one of these on Xbox? The original one? I remember playing some NBA game with spastic moves.

i'm hoping they don't make the controls 'interactive' for the wii. i don't want to dance around trying to play the game, i'd rather use the buttons. don't mind the interactive controls for wii sports, etc, but other games i just want to play the old way.

can't wait for nba jam to come out. my wife is going away for a week in october so hopefully it is out by then

I showed the trailers to my wife last night. She laughed about NBA Jam, but then got really excited about Goldeneye. It's her favourite game from the N64. We'll have to drag it out and brush up on our skills before the Wii one gets released.

Nope... no good.
Needs to have the one fixed camera angle that scrolls with just enough elevation to see the other side of the court as per original. The players look to crisp. Need to be blurrier.

at first i was really excited about this but that video just doesnt do NBA Jam any justice. You sure its the same boom shakalaka commentator man cause it sounded a bit off, although that might just be because im listening to it in 5.1 surround sound and not stereo on an old tube tv.

that said i do like the tackyness of the player faces sort of glued on

I sucked at this game in the arcades years ago but damn it was fun.

Whilst I do have a Wii, I'd prefer to get this on PS3 if it comes out.

It still doesn't look to bad on Wii tho....

It will relese on xbox live arcade and psn. I have no doubt of this.

EA Sports has said it will only be available with a download code that comes with NBA Elite ONLY, no xbox live or psn download by itself. Guess they wants more NBA Elite sales...

last i heard nba elite was nba live 11
also the 2k series is easily the better basketball game

i used to buy every NBA live since the series changed from Bulls vs Blazers back in the early 90s, lately ive lost interest in the games as they made them too complicated, its like i need 3 hands to play them. i think the last one i bought was 08

99% of the time the only real new feature are the rosters

back in the 90s there were many more added features, now the games have so many features the new ones they add ruin the game, they just make it more complicated
