Default EF, EFII, EL Ghia

Hi All,

Just trying to figure out what the visual difference is between all 3 models.

I thought the EF and EFII only had the red Ghia badge on the chrome on the boot and the red badge on the side of the car. The EL's had the word Ghia underneath Fairmont on the boot and the word on the sides.

Is this correct?

Was there any changes to the interior with the different models?

Cheers

Rear 'Fairmont' badge was a different font on the EL. Squareish letters instead of the script type on the EF.
Different grill between EF and EL.
EL had chrome number plate surround, instead of just the strip along the top of the boot in the EF.

Forgot about the colour coded buttons. Did the EFII have the tickford engine? I just thought it was the EL's?

EF 1's also missed out on chrome buttons/door handles, not sure if they got the leather shifter/brake/wheel though?

Just purchased a EL Ghia for the missus.

It's got the tickford wings on the boot lid and sides. Besides the engine it only has a tickford bodykit as tickford accessory that I can see.

were the tickford badges an original?

No, Fairmonts weren't fitted with Tickford wings from the factory.
