OK Folks,
looking at getting a trailer with LED lights. What do I need to do to stop the car detecting problems with the wiring because of the low power draw of the LEDs. I can see modules for sale on the 'net for $375. Is there a cheaper option?? Thanks in advance.

I believe you can use an adaptor harness for the Ranger (assuming you have a trailer module already), I'm sure I've seen posts about it here.
Edit: here's the one, looks like all you should need to know https://fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11459382

LED's are touted as energy saving and long lived. Ford fix is to increase the energy consumption by adding a parallel resistor, which makes the LED look like an old school filament. FAIL.
The silver lining is you do get LONGER LIFE! |
