Based on the comments around last month's Vfacts, suggesting 500 odd Commodore sales were the VF2, then about 4-5 weeks.

And amongst them only 139 wagons, that's it, no more Aussie RWD wagons after that.

It really is a sad thing!

I hope they all sell quick because a brand new SSV wagon is extremely tempting.

Even a few HSV R8 wagons left...

I’m surprised HSV did not do a deal with Holden to buy up the last of the VFII’s from the factory.

Surely, demand will still be high over the next 12 months?

Store them away for 10 years then release them when the only cars you can buy are made in Korea, China and Thailand. Remind people what we gave away.

In 10 years time they wont meet safety or emissions specs. they wont be able to sell as new so would be considered 2nd hand vehicles.

10 year old vehicles regardless of kms tend to depreciate..
so quite frankly this is not the greatest of ideas

Absolutely love the VF wagons, i'm due for a new car in about a year or so and currently at the top of my list is a 2015/2016 SSV Redline Wagon with the LS3.

It's a rear wheel drive family car designed and built in Australia, priced at a level many Australian families can afford, with an option for V8 power and serves as the base for aftermarket engine and handling tuning from local operation HSV. It's the last of an industry that has been around nearly 100 years.

So keep them registered and maintained.

In 10 years when the reality has firmly sunk in that the only cars we have left available are made in the land of Gangnam Style, or utes made by Thai Ladyboys - if HSV releases a bunch of new old stock 6.2 litre beasts, men will knock over their own grandmothers to get to one.

‘Not the greatest idea’ is allowing the situation to occur where Korean cars dominate our roads.

These are only Carsales figures remember.
I have been considering trading my Golf on a manual SSV Redline and the 2 closest dealers to me have 7 new SSV Redlines (or they did a week ago) between them and none are listed on Carsales.

I have past a few dealerships in Melbs nth & nth west with Motorsport Vfs and HSVs in the showroom.I was at the shopping centre car park recently and a ZB pulled up opposite and the sharp and pointy angles don’t do a lot for it.
