It would certainly be nice. It was make my decision of buying a MUCH better case, an almost certainty actually if we had a great offer like that.

However, we need to consider that Ford Aus isn't doing the best and to add an offer like that is, at the end of the day, costing *someone* money. In this case, Ford Aus would be footing the bill in some way or another by allowing interest free purchases like that.

From what I hear about Ford US, they're probably in a good enough standing to offer this type of incentive and get away with it - while Ford Aus probably is in no such position.

It would definitely be great, though.

My last purchase from Ford would have used this deal had it been offered, but it would have benefited me and not Ford. I'm always a cash buyer for cars, so the purchase money would have come out of extra repayments from my home loan. 0-2% interest compared to 7% is better for me.

Would this scheme help new buyers who need to finance? Of course...

Having said that.... housing interest rates in the US are at the lowest they have been for ages (sub 4%)...

Didn't FORD NA just give a large bonus to it's workers??? (or posted a huge profit???) I remember reading it somewhere online last week? So things are not soo bad for Ford in the scheme of things in the US of A.

Ford North America is trying not to do so much of that, because it kills profits. But that has been the state of the market here for decades.

Interest rates in the US are at 0% aren't they, cause their market is so stuffed.

Pretty much all of them are offering 0% loans, and have done so for a few years now.

Do you mean, by charging the business a percentage of the sale price?

I was referring to US auto builders. I'm positive GM, Ford and Chrysler have offered 0% for a while now. Other manufacturers do also.
