Default New car sales figures

Ok not australian sales figures but UK
and the festa has smashed its rivals.

Sales of new cars rose 11.4% in September compared with the same month last year, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

The new "59" registration plates were available from 1 September and 367,929 of them were sold in the month.

The SMMT said that conditions remained "challenging" but the market was being supported by the scrappage scheme.

Last week, the government announced it was extending the trade-in scheme from £300m to £400m

They may be hopeless at sport, but they certainly know a great little car when they see it! :

Just a thought - Have you seen the European Corsa - a lot different to our Barina - would the Fiesta do so well out here if Holden had the Corsa?

The Focus is in need of a refresh, as the Focus has gotten older and aged it has been massivly overtaken in the sales charts. Bring on the new model. Holden looked at selling the Corsa but they claimed it didn't make financial sence. While us enthusiasts laugh at the pathetic Daewoo Barina, it sells more than the class leading Fiesta, and Holden make decent money on them as apposed to the old Barina, which they list money on in the last generation.

I like the Corsa, but it lacks the fuzz of the Fez.
