Has anyone here used Plasti dip??

As the title suggests has anyone here used it if so whats it like for ease of use and also durability?

Anyone thinking what the hell is Plasti dip. (id post a link but ive got no idea how) Its baisicly like a spray on vinyl in a preasure pak can. It seems to be popular in the states and europe especially for wheels as it just peels off (like a sticker) after your bored of the colour. You can also get it in 4lt tins and people spray whole cars with it and then yeah after your over the colour you peel it off and start again. Not a huge range of colours though

I was keen to go for some matte black rims on my subie but didnt want it to be permanent and came across the plasti dip stuff. But yeah id like to peoples experiences of it before i potentialy screw my wheels up!

Also its 30-40 bucks a can here and you need 3-4 cans for all 4 wheels so not overly cheap. Too bad you cant get aerosols from the states over the net its only like 7 bux a can there.

I have used it and have read about guys modding their cars with it in the USA.
Do not buy the pressure packs as they do not provide much coverage. Buy it in the 1 or 4lt tins from the USA as it is very costly here.
I only have used it on boat parts and tools, but it is easy to apply and remove. You need to make sure you prepsol the surface to ensure the surface is clean.
Make sure you keep it off anything porous or with a grain.

I sprayed my front bar a couple of months ago, haven't had any problems with it yet. I used the spray can and am going to do under the rear bumper between the exhaust tips soon aswell. Just be careful when removing the tape because it can peel off if you do it too fast.

Hi all,
Did a quick search on Plasti Dip and found this thread.
Looking at doing this to my Rims.
Has anyone else got any feedback as to how easy it is to apply, how durable and even how do you clean?
Looks like a pretty cheap way to change the look of Rims with low risk.

I have used it on my underspoiler, bonnet garnish and now sports bar. Very easy to apply and can be easily removed when you no longer want it.

Its been on my car for the last 6 months and I wash 1-2 times a week, so I do think its pretty durable if applied properly.

It's cheap to do and fills any small pin holes you might have in your fiberglass bars like I had
It's easy to look after with no streaks or water spots
BUGs can be a problem if you just rub them but if your carful when you wash it you will be fine ..
ATM I am 1 of about 10 or so cars painted like this

this is the best stuff . I saw some rims at Autobarn Airport west they have all the colours and show a few different colour combos

There's a good video on youtube demonstrating how to apply it to a vehicle properly. (blokes using an Audi)
It's funny because he does it in his driveway with no shelter or cover of any sort, and a piece of grass ended up attaching itself to the door. He literally picked it off with his fingers and kept on spraying, after 2 more coats you would have never known. HAH.
