Default Harrison Ford Will No Longer Sell Fords

Kev ORSMT was just in at Ford in Melton, and they were unable to help him with a warranty issue on rust, as of 30 minutes ago, they will no longer sell Fords. I wonder if this is a sign of the times.

The Ford Dealership in Melton, Harrison Ford, not the actor, is ceasing to sell Fords.

KIA. More in line with what they would be good at selling. ;)

I was nearly going to put kia but i thought it was too obvious the way things seem to be going at this point in time.

In all seriousness how big was the dealer? Did they have a lot of new Fords?

Anyone know the inside story as why this happened? Did they jump or were they pushed?

Need those posts to perk me up cheers.(Perk me up I say)

I went to Ford Bendigo and asked them to test my injectors for a leak.
Was told " Ur too late, Dealers namesake (Mitsubishi store) took all the equipment and machinery" But I'll put an additive in and see how you go"

They still selling Fords, but selling the equipment to fix them? :

Tools........

Maybe a sign of the times...or new Orion isnt fuel injected LOL

They had 2 branches.. I know that much.

Just rang Melton and they answer the phone as Harrison Motor Group, not Ford anymore..

Good to hear, I feel sorry for anyone who ever had a "service" there. I know a bloke that used to be a mechanic there and some of the things he told me, like getting called in to the bosses office for not cutting corners on jobs, scared me.

What was said to me was "As of one hour ago, we are no longer a Ford dealership." But some I have spoken to knew it was coming, and that it is a hush hush affair as to the direction of that business. While that does nothing to help me, I have to wonder about the need for microfilm and trench coats.

Yeah keeping Hush Hush...they sell cars not WMD's (Weapons of mass...those born yesterday LOL). So the so called "Business descision" will prolly do them more damage for not being upfront about the situation.......With dealers with that sort of attitude they should be cut loose anyway. New ford boss needs to get onto these dealers and sort em out. Yes its there business' but they supposed to be giving future support for the money we spend. But because of this I think less peolpe are taking there cars to Specified dealers anymore unless a warranty claim

True. Melton Toyota moved into the Mitsubishi yard after Mitso closed. Harrison Ford have sold Fords for 30 years that I can recall.

Well they are already a Suzuki and Hyundai dealer, so Kia isn't too much of a wild surprise. The sad thing is this will probably mean we won't have a Ford dealership in Melton anymore. There are a lot of potential buyers in Melton who might now just go across the road to the Holden and Toyota dealerships to buy there new cars.

Yes they do have two dealerships, one in Melton, and one in Bacchus Marsh, and they did own Melton Toyota, But I don't know if they still own it since Melton Toyota moved into a new dealership.

I too have had bad experiences with Harrison Ford's Service Department. I took my old AUII in there for a regular service, they then tried to charge me $720 for it because they did all of these extra things I didn't even authorise.
