Smile First Ford In Class For Kevs Blownxr8

Well as the titile says.. What was a very trying (and expensive 1 alternator $500 1 a/c pump $700) week for Kev in his XR8 ute he just rang form the KPM Clipsal Dyno challange to say that his G&D prepared YellaTerrified Boss XR8 ute has taken the 1st spot in his class..force inducted Ford v8 and is second out right to a blown ls1 for tomorrows final with a lazy 400+ at the ground most were down about 25..30 rwk but all on the same dyno you got to be happy with that . will get the finall figures when he stops grinnen and laughen : : :
Well done mate good to have some happy phone calls for a change instead of can you come and get me :togo:

Well done big fella, looks like sandown was the right place to sort out the issues.

At least you gave the instructors a work out.

I must find where I left my handbrake, I know i started out with one.

g'day,
the first run was about 380rwkw, second was 399.9 and 3rd was 401.8 i think. I loved watching all the blown 8's on the dyno. Added to a good over all day at the clipsal.

Cheers

Kev did the Ford blokes proud and what a top bloke he is to. I wish I could say the same for mine, but she wasn't very happy on the day with a bit of a rushed last minute effort on my part, but that's another story. Quite clearly the best person, and car won on the day. A big congratulations to you Kev!

saw the ute on the dyno today, looked sweet Also saw Kev in the crowd, he looked happy with his results. Me, sourbastard, barry_v, XRchic and cobra watched his last run. I think it was 410rwkw?
The LS1 put out a bit more, but looked nowhere as classy as Kevs beast (that scoop was shocking!)

Congrats to Jac (XRchic) too, for winning her class (N/A 6), well done

Well done Kev. We watched it run in the Grand Final and it sounded great. It was a great result.

Glad you got home safely Kev, and thanks to you and Mick for helping us out with getting our car off the track, really appreciated it. It was really good to catch up with you again, and to meet Mick and his wife. Dinner was awesome, even though SOMEONE couldnt tell the difference between a chicken and a cow!!! Hmmm.

See you in May!

Jac and Eamon

PS I should add that another forums member, Shifty, won the 6 cyl forced induction class as well, so congrats to him also - stunning car, Ego BF Typhoon. The V8 NA class was won by Con (not on the forums) and his black Monaro which was also a really nice car.

Actually I took you alternator off as I wasnt sure it was working properly. The battery light kept coming on intermittently.
Sorry I dont have a boost graph.

Cheers....Kev
