Hoping for some advice please:
1. My front steering or suspension creaks a lot at full lock at slow speed. The car is only 15 months old. Hoping the front end just needs tightening up. 2. Anytime I open the windows or sunroof on my titanium hatch, I get a strong smell of diesel. This is regardless of whether the car is moving or at a standstill. Anyone else had these issues? The car is booked in with Ford tomorrow, but I'd prefer to go in with some prior knowledge of what these issues might be. Cheers.

I realize that this issue was posted quite some time ago but I had a similar problem with my tdci Mondeo. There was a fuel leak in the line from the fuel tank to the front of the car. The dealer rectified the problem under warranty but conducted no further checks - we started experiencing noises from the right hand side of the vehicle. A shot bush in the front cross member which was caused by the leaking fuel - as a result the whole cross member had to be replaced as they were unable to remove and refit a simple bush. We have had ongoing problems with the radio and bluetooth since we took delivery of the vehicle two years ago. The vehicle has been back to the dealer numerous times for rectification and we have supplied photos each time the vehicle has faulted and all the dealer and FORD can say is "we acknowledge that there is a problem but until we can find a cause there is nothing we can do". So much for what otherwise is quite a good vehicle. Their warranty does not appear to be worth the paper it is written on.

Ah, the continuing saga of Ford and their useless european engineering department. (this is just a personal view). I have taken my 2011 Mondeo Zetec wagon in 3 times re a faulty power steering pump. I've had 2 new ones installed and an additional filter placed on the power steering pump. It still has the same problem. She moans just like a meowing cat at low revs. It is driving me mad. Cant deal with it for much longer. Going to have to take in again to get repaired. Ford admit theres a problem and its a case of pot luck if your lucky to get a correct working one. Checks your cars boys and girls, at low revs, if it moans like a cat (meooooow) - sorry its the only way I could describe it, then take back to ford. Dont except it and get the work done. Keep up your warranty too. It costs Ford a $1000 for each pump alone, or you if you dont have a warranty.
