I cruise to work in a old ford LTD with windsor 5.0 mint condition and light mods and have a ba xr8 for the weekend that has a few more modsm

I keep the V8 flavour just add some top end for the weekend. Work close to home so fuel not an issue. I used to have a turbo and a V8 good fun that

What is your port folio of daily driver vs weekend weapon

I'd agree with that...much more difficult to have one car that does everything.
"Driven not hidden" and "the trailer goes behind my car, not under it" spring to mind...

94 ef ghia 5.0 is my daily/weekender/thrashwagon/boredom fixer upper etc etc

when i get another bike it will also be an all rounder, daily and weekender.

i agree with the sentiments above, ie 'driven not hidden' but i also see why some dont want to subject their babies to the chances of an incident given the high standard of modern drivers.

My V8 BA XT is my daily.

The EB Ghia is the weekender for the manual V8 fun. But it only comes out in the good weather so it's not used much at the moment.
I bought it more as a build project than a weekend criuser anyway. Something to get my hands dirty on rather than take on a weekend cruise.

Having a few cars is a waste of money and the mrs knows it.. (And I know it too)

I've dug my own hole here, if I sell one I won't be getting another so not selling. I want to buy a fg 335 GT but have to sell both to get it and then I don't wanna use it as a daily driver?

The mrs can change her mind so I could sell two V8s, think I'm running off to get the boss 335 GT and then they chime in with the talk about the mortgage etc and I end up in a hybrid camry as daily driver and weekend car

Hmmm maybe but its her fairmont, 58000km still because she makes me drive everywhere. I fitted full exhaust, tuned and cai and she says its too noisy. But she won't sell.

Dailys for me are..

VX S pack L67 12psi,stall,MAFLESS and diff gears ect.60foot kings these cars.Chopping WRX's ect is really funny.

BA XR6T 15psi and no where near as quick up to 60 as the VX nor go-kartish,it all depends what part of the speedo I want to go fast. The VX basically signs off after 100kmh/r compared to the BA.

Weekender is always the BA as its more luxurious compared to the VX and uses way less fuel.I enjoy the brakes on the BA also as much as the power.

Both cars see around 20,000kms a year.

Pushbike on weekdays?

LV TDCI Focus on the weekdays for me.

LV TDCI Focus on the weekends for me.

I want to get a project car but unfortunately parents frown upon cars and I live under their roof, so their rules. So I'm considering voiding warranty and bastardising my Focus ;)

The XR6T is the work weapon. Great for towing, and with the lux and tech packs, supremely comfortable. The F6 sometimes used for work, weekends, or as a going out car for the old man, so it sees all walks of life.

The Megane is the weekender.

EF Fairmont Wagon for the daily duties, 350k+ and on LPG. Never breaks down and was my first car and I love it.

ED GLi that I just finished getting on the road again with its new setup. Not sure how long it will stay on the road. I am aiming for 10's.

Sometimes I wonder how you guys do it.

We've only recently gained an 2-car garage after extensive under-house renovations, so we previously parked the cars on a underneth concrete/dirt floor.

How to pay rego on a 3rd car ($1000 for a V8 in QLD), keep them all safe (locked up at night), has me scratching my head.

Not many homes have shed space or a 3 car garage .
