Hi guy's
I have some questions about fr19 simmons wheels. I'am thinking about putting them on my au ll xr8 ute ( black) Do you think they look good on au's? Dose anyone have photos of them on there au? I was thinking of 8" rims and 245 tyres front 91/2" or 10" with 265 on back, would they fit? The ute is very low. Do you think polished centers is the go on a black ute or painted silver centers? Don't want to go black centers. Thanks for your help Pete. |

I have seen them on an AU, don't have pics but it looked good. You can go a 10" on the rear of a ute without hassle (I think).
Personally I would go silver.

I had 8.5" and 9.5" x 19 on my ute.
245/35/19 and 275/30/19. I'd say 10" will fit, I think someone squeezed 335 or some such thing under a ute.

Black spokes and polished lips and we may have a problem in my pants
But regardless, i think theyre one of the best aftermarket rims for an AU, especially the ute.

Hi guys
Getting closer to getting my new rims FR20's for my Au xr8 black ute, i have to decide on what colour for the centers. I was dead keen on polished centers on a black ute, but i have just seen these rims in shadow Crome, I have put 2 example below, fg ute in full sun and the mustang centers look darker, I think it must be overcast. what do you guy think???? (i don't want black centers) Thanks for your advice |

Polished are hard to maintain, espescially if they are daily driven. If you don't polish them up they will look shadow chrome in no time. To me they both look like polished centres, just different light angles, If you don't want black get the metallic dark grey they do. Either way they will look awesome.

Its a hard call on the offset.
My mate runs 20x10's on his BA ute. Offset if +42, and the rub a little bit on the inside when going up driveways or slants when the diff is tilted. His guards have been rolled aswell, but only at a 45 degree angle as the utes have a bracket at the top which cannot be rolled all the way without warping of the panel.

They are still making FR19's, don't worry! Everyone just tends to fold to 20's.

I don't like them in 20s on an AU, too large IMHO. I dream of a set of FR19s for the TE, just the standard silver painted centres as I think they work with almost any paint colour.
I got excited & tried my FR17s: But alas... |

I think Simmons gold looks awesome, i would like some Simmons for my te but a bit rich for me. I've been looking at vertini drift, bbs lm and .mc racing wheels, all gold center. My trouble is finding some to clear rear brembos which is a pain in the ****, but i know the Simmons will clear.
