I noticed in another thread that you have Dunlop SP9000 tyres. I was just wondering whether they are 235s or 245s? Also, what tyre pressures did you use?

I have trouble getting traction at the track in my XR8 so I'm a little curious about your setup.

Cheers.

i'l give you a tip - dont lower the psi on low profile tires

it does next to nothing. a low profile tire will peform at its best when at the reccomended psi

Ah, thanks for that. What brand tyres are you using for your turbo?

Cheers

I used to have Dunlop SP9000's but got new tyres on the back.....

I belive lowering the pressure in my tyres does help but it is fairly over rated it doesnt make a huge difference its only slightly better or so i have found....
When i was there couple months ago i was running with normal pressure, getting constant 13.6's then dropped to 19psi and started getting constant 13.5's
Was about 0.06 second difference i was averaging between standard pressure to dropping the pressure to 19psi.... so not huge but it is something. its that small of a benefit it probably not worth the extra damage you do to your tyres and iv been told it also puts more strain on your driveline.....

So yes 3 would be right in saying theres no point, but if your after that tiny drop off your time then id say give it a go....

Im half ****ed writting this so im sorry if it doesnt make sense lol :P

What tyres do you now have? I've got some crappy 235/45 tyres so I'm looking for something that will give more traction. I don't really want to get drag tyres though.
