Default Canberra tune?

Hey Chris

By everything I've read here you are the acknowledged guru of boss tuning.
I'd love to flick my Unichip and get you to do me a custom flash tune, but it's such a long drive to Melbourne!

I guess there's not much chance of convincing you to come to Canberra for a couple of days, so my next choice is: do you know any tuners around southern NSW/ACT who you would recommend to install and tune a capa tuner?

Gordon

Gordon, it isn’t far. I drove from Canberra to Melbourne late last year tohave a new exhaust put on at Aussie Car Enhancements and then had it tuned and CAPA flashed by Chris. Best trip I ever did.

Chris was persauded to come to Canberra last July. I had my car tuned at that time. You just have to get enough guys together to make it worth his while.

Still as Mark says Melbourne is not that far (680Ks ?) I am planning on making a trip up to get some more work done...

I know a few people who would be up for a trip to Canberra if Chris was to make the trip up.

I might be interested, but it just depends on how good Chris is. Like if he can make the edit grow me 2 more cylinders, then I might be persuaded. I just could be. :

At this stage, going to be a spectator. But I would like to get Chris's opinion on whether my car could benefit from an Edit.

c'mon bucky, you're wavering, said you'd never do it now you're considering it - of course it will have benefits - like turning those new simmons faster

I will be heading to Canberra march/early april at the latest. I was going earlier, but couldn't make it due to personal reasons.

As far as the age old question "will my car benefit from an edit", I will say this - any kind of edit software is not a secret magical elixir that will turn any car into an animal. What it does do, is tie in an existing group of mods to operate in harmony and efficiency. The best by product of this is torque and HP.

The next point i would like to make is that is a 10rwkw gain ok for a Boss 260? no. is it ok for an AU 6? yes. Think about the car, the power, where it is, and the relevance of the power/torque gain to the cars performance.

And if you are a sceptic, drive a similar car that has been tuned. Ask the owner about all mods INCLUDING diff gears, converter, etc. Get a full picture of what is going on, and you will be in a far better position to make a judgement call.

Regards

Chris

Awesome stuff Chris. Keep us posted when you lock in a date.

Are you going to do it down at Jakes Performance again? I was talking to the boys out at ESP in Queanbeyan (they split from DTS in Fyshwick) and they were saying that they are buying a new 4wd dyno in the next few weeks as well.

Keep us posted with how to book in if you can.

See you soon. : :sm_headba

ESP have been buying a dyno for nearly a year now?!?!? last dyno day I organised, was in January and I was told to see ESP, they didn't have it. The dyno day before September again 'see ESP' no dyno.

Jakes has moved now for those that don't know. I'm trying to catch up with him and get a run. He's a hard man to get hold of.

At this stage any travelling to tune will be put on hold - its been a rough start to the year on a personal/home level, and therefore trying to get things done at Bluepower, let alone anywhere else.

I will come up again to service existing clients, any people wishing to book for a canberra tune can feel free to call me on 0438 351 351 or 03 9305 3000
