I, like most of you, were probably astonished when you went to change your wiper blades over for the first time. Even supacheap were around $44 each blade!! I needed all 3 as they were stuffed. Ebay to the rescue again. Found these and thought, what the heck, and bought them. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/280922437...84.m1439.l2649
Turns out that they look exactly the same as OEM and work really well and all 3 delivered for under $28. Just thought I would put it out there if anyone else was in the same boat. and no I have no affiliations with this seller. They did deliver promptly from the UK but there are others there too. |

I bought from the same seller. He advertised 2 front wiper blades only. I needed the rear blade as well and asked him if he can put 3 blades into one sale. He created new listing for 3 blades and looks like still continue with it now.
The blades are good quality and I can recommend them to other Mondeo owners. Regards Greg |

Thanks for the post guys.
Just ordered a set to put aside for when I need them. I'll have had the vehicle 12 monthe in October. Blades are good atm although haven't used them for a couple of months as wev'e had no rain here in Brissy since July. $44 each from Supercheap? Ouch! Cheers, Ross |

Yes, excellent timing as I transition into the expensive world of sparing for an imported car.

Good find. I will be ordering myself a set for winter next year. No point putting new wipers on for summer.

Depends if your wipers were as shot as mine. I use them more in the summer time as there are more storms.

Summer in WA, more sand on windows than rain. My drivers side smears on the downstroke but fine going up?!?!?!?!

weird that. You should find these ones OK. I cant see the difference between them and OEM to tell the truth (except the whopping price difference that is)

I bought mine on 12 Sep using the link above, they arrived yeaterday (21 Sep). A quick visual comparison today and I can see no difference to OEM.

I bought mine in October but only fitted them today when it got too dangerous to continue with the old blades. I figured I better order new blades for the next time around from the UK eBay site. What a shock I got. Where I paid $25 including delivery last time the seller now wants $153 plus delivery. Has anyone sourced the blades cheaply from other sellers.
I would be really interested to know. Cheers. |

I got mine changed at the dealer last service. $28 or something for the pair. Apparently they just rip the rubber bit out that comes into contact with the windscreen and replace that, not the entire arm bit.
I was pleasantly surprised considering I expected to be gouged like $100 or something. When I said to the service advisor bloke that I expected they would have to change the whole arm bit he did say something about having to do that on older models but on mine they changed it to just the actual blade part can be removed/replaced. EDIT - if its any help, here's what was on my last service invoice for the blades: FOAWV1922FM - Refill Wiper Blade - Qty 1 - $14.78 (I THINK that Qty 1 means a pair in this case for the front) NGW21 - Rear Blade - Qty 1 - $19.11 Maybe if people run those part numbers by Ford dealer they may be able to confirm whether they can use genuine Ford parts at a fraction of the price of Supercheap etc?

I have sourced these from Ford parts UK; Front window wipers (flat blade aero) Part No. 1537085 twin pack (Driver 26” and Passenger 19”)
They were less than $50AUD delivered. I purchased two packs as the rear takes a 19" wiper blade also.

fpv_gt: how are the refills going a few weeks on?
I just bought some from Ford for $18 (part AWV1922FM) and installed them easily enough but now I read that they are a bit Carp. Time will tell but my drivers side was perishing and I had to get it replaced cheaply/quickly. Unfortunately the OP deal no longer exists so I have decided after much research that if these fail I will get some aero twins direct from the Australian Bosch site. $52 for 2 with free shipping, that is a lot cheeper than the $180 that Ford wants: https://au.bosch-automotive-shop.com...ils/3397007310

I bought some Qeep branded wipers from streettuned when they had a deal on Ozbargain (they were under $30 at the time). I thought that pair were pretty good wipers, but next time for ~$50 I will definitely try those Bosch ones.

Drivers side replacement blade has fallen apart. I have never seen a wiper die so quickly. I guess you get what you pay for...

Just had my wiper blades replaced during the winter service at Ford in Germany. Cost was EUR 42 which is about AUD 60 total. Sounds a bit expensive compared to AUD 28! In any case it was worth it since night rain vision has improved significantly.
