Default Will weight effect Power Reading's on a Dyno??

hey guys, i was thinking, on a dyno, would weight matter, say you could take a few things outta ur boot that are heavy, would u perhaps getter a better dyno reading ? or is weight only a factor on the street for acceleration?

i was wondering if weight in the boot can alter ur power reading on a dyno??

Tyre deflection does make a difference..As when its tied down hard it'll make less than when it rides up on rollers.. Due to tyre dfflection but with a few extra Lbs in tyres would fix this...The weight if anything would give you better grip on roller..

If anything, it may you a slightly better reading to have weight in the boot.
Then again, if it's strapped down properly, you shouldn't lose any traction anyway.

Traction on a dyno ,should not be a problem for any car under say 220kw and IMO ,and I would love a dyno person to confirm or deny that you would get a couple of kw gain with an empty boot.

If the car is tied down correct it will not make any difference.

Yeh but it aint going any faster is it, if you want a good dyno figure i can tell you some good happy dynos if you like!

On weight on dynos I have had my tools in the back (200kg) with them or without them always in the ball park (provided its done correctly)
