Default XR4 Pricing

My husband is considering adding a XR4 to the family and was wondering what sort of prices people have paid & what extras they got with the price.

We have been quoted straight out with NO negotiation:
$28,800 drive away brand spanker with no extras
$26,000 drive away DEMO, 7000km, white with blue stripes, tinted windows & car mats.

Would love to hear if these are good offers compared to what others have paid. We are in Victoria.

Thanks in advance

I got mine for $26,300 drive away, new with stripes, tank of fuel, floor mats + headlight covers. I would have been able to get more but I screwed up.

In VIC ay?... I know people got theirs anywhere between $25,500-27,500 driveaway brand new... anything more than that it's a bit of a rip.

$28,800 is the list price including on roads, I have heard of people picking them up for $25,500 on road, brand new, not demos.

I could have got one in Brisbane for that price but ended up getting the VRX for $24,500 on road.

Yea, thats what really swung me to buy it, there's a new model coming out soon so I saved 6k off list price on the VRX, bought an LS model for the missus too, saved 5k on that one.

Problem with the XR4 is that it has only just come out and the dealers are not so eager to move on the pricing, if you can pick up a new one for around 26k you would have done pretty well I reckon.

give the dealers that support the site a go... given that you're armed with the good oil now.

I have the paper downstairs at work...

But on the weekend I did see the XR4 advertised (In Sydney) for $24,990 Drive Away.

Must be working as I saw 3 new XR4s on the way to work

That's a very good price.

I have not yet seen one XR4 on the road up here in Brisbane, I was talking to a salesman at the local Ford Dealership the other day and he said that they had only sold 3 of them since they went on sale.

Default XR4 Pricing Update

Thanks to all the input regarding pricing of the XR4.

We had some great service from one of the site sponsors Etheridge Ford (Thanks Andrew if you are reading this) but in the end we decided to go with the VW Polo GTI for similar $$$. The VW just had a few more standard features than the XR4. It was also available immediately where we would have had to wait until some time in October for an XR4 in our 2nd colour preference (blue with white stripes) and until next year for our 1st colour preference (white with blue stripes).

This is definately not the case in Victoria, supposedly selling like hotcakes.

would love to know what to walk into the dealership with ($$$), and get!

is $26k still about it?

would hope that could get for $25k on the road but maybe a little optimistic?

I bought mine brand new for $25,500 driveaway on road with mats and a full tank of petrol just over a month ago here in Brissy.

I had arranged with another dealer to go and have a look at a Performance Blue one the next day after signing the contract for mine.

I phoned that dealer and advised them that I would not be coming just out of courtesy as I had just bought one, he asked if I got a good deal and when I told him what I got mine for he "reckoned" that they would have gone to $25k driveaway.....but of course that could be just "sour grapes" talk, but perhaps not.

This one advertised on Carsales in Brisbane looks like a bargain at $24k!!, just goes to show they can get down there if they want to.
