Woke up this morning and checked the collector car section on Ebay.
First car was nice 69 Mustang for $7000. Then found 14 similar listings of different ultra cheap collector cars. Always one picture of good car, unbelievably cheap, selling for family friend and only has email address of johnW65@hotmail for contact no phone number. I sure most of us will twig pretty quickly to the scam but seller user ID is showing dbsmithemplant with a 100% positive feedback at 500 transactions. Biggest worry is that he listed as Australian seller show will ship to the UK. I hope some member from UK can share this on the forums over there as. |

Just checked his other items for sales and there is about 50. His listed boats, bikes, 4WD and campers. Always the same description but just changes a few details.

After some searching I have found the Ebay scamming reporting E-mail address and sent them the details of the seller.
If anyone ever needs to use it is spoof@ebay.co.au |

Just checked again and they are scam ads are still up. Not sure when the Ebay people start working.
Interesting the user has changed to 01689829914 which has 152 items most are the fake ads but some look like genuine ones for a washing machine parts company in the UK. Again 100% feedback. Looks like they are hacking peoples accounts. |

I spend a lot of time on American collector car sales sites and scam ads have increased noticeably of late. Usually easy to pick - fabulous car - fabulously low price. A lot of them are now well written without the spelling and grammar mistakes that always gave them away in the past.

Reported user to EBay. Noticed he has gone from 135 sales to one.
Good to see they will do something if reported.
