To Debadge---Or Not to Debadge?

been thinking for a while now whether i should lose the badges on my car. now that the strip is colour coded and the car is lowered i think it might look quite "clean" without them....

anyone else debadged their focus and if so....please provide pics/links to pics?

Anthony, mine is a LR, but I have partially debadged.

I removed the Zetec fender badges, but retained the Focus on the boot, and replaced the 2.0 litre badge with a Zetec badge ( a "Zetec" mod..thanks Matt). I think the boot looks odd without any badges

Hard for me to comment on LS/LT, but I like the cleaner lines of the LR without the badge.

Try doing photoshop to get an idea.

Or, the fact is it is pretty easy to put the badges back once removed, so why not have a go and see what you think? You can always put them back on.

I think the ford badge is indented on the bootlid. I say go for it.

I do agree that without the badges the LS has a cleaner look. See if you can find some pics of RJO89's focus. He has debadged his if i remember correctly.

I find that often when the exterior of a car has been extensivly modifed people have trouble identifying it and therefore I personally prefer not to debadge cos I want people to know "I HAVE DRIVEN A FORD FOCUS LATLEY!!!"

I say debadge it, it would look heaps cleaner on the rear. I think I've scene some pics on the xr5turbo forums and it looks quite nice actually

I have a sedan and haven't debadged all of the rear, but I think it cleans up the rear a little...

Good to see you the other day, I am still jealous of black LS/LT owners (although still happier with grey!).

im considering de-badging my rear end aswell, gives it symetry and cleans the look up a bit aswell.

I felt the opposite after seeing your car "I wish I had a dropped sedan". I only washed the car the previous week and it was so grubby by the weekend. Also need to respray the front bar, last time I did the paint peeled and I stupidly paid "cash"

I had washed mine 2 weeks earlier although I had done over 1200km in that time (only washed the bug's off the front). That sucks about the front bar!

yes i do relize the Ford badge is indented into the garnish however i plan to keep that on. CBF's filling the hole and spraying it lol!

i will post up a few pics of my car tomorrow, would someone be able to chop the badges off?

Do it. It looks a million times better without the badges. Plus, if you don't like it after you've done it, just slap them back on. But I can guarantee you, you will love it a lot more with no badges.

i'v de-badged my car and it gives it a much sharper and cleaner look. Mine's a silver focus so i'l post some pics later to give you an idea.

Try gettin the badge off ursefl just get some fishing wire under there. But if ur getting it resprayed then just use a screw driver or get the shop that is spraying it to do it. They should be able to. It will look a million times better to.
