OK,its an 98 XR6,auto VCT under 180,000 klms,F+R elect,momo wheel,dual airbags,cruise,irs and lsd.ABS too.
Its drives good but the rear seems a bit twitchy.Do these have the same issues as the BA irs or am i just looking a some simple bush replacement? Also what price should it be priced at? Its white(yuck) and has that silly double rear spoiler. |

Lucky sod - tried to find a whiite XR6 with these options back in 2009, ended up with a Fairmont Ghia with Ticky options instead.
Can you expand on what you mean by 'twitchy' ? |

my au is on 200,000 kliks original irs bushes, about the only issue that i`ve heard is the top shocker mounts on occasion, i think it takes a fair bit of abuse or wear an tear to bugger these though, i`ve done a bit of towing with mine and only recently the top shock mount rubber started to get a little noisey, that maybe your problem.
the irs itself is built like a brick out house imo. |

Price is a steal. Check the rear toe arms - if worn the rear wheels toe in on drive and toe out on overdrive, can give rise to an unstable feel when backing off.

For what it is worth ... it's a decent price ... a bit of maintenance ... and should all be good.
Some people pay good money for the bi-plane wing ... and it actually suits the white better. Got some pics of it???

That rear twitchy feel could be as simple as the rear wheel alignment, if its not right, the car will feel rather ordinary.
If your not hearing any clunks or knocks in the rear end, then that would be my first point of call.

For 3k you'd be crazy to not purchase.
As others have said, the rear end problem is likely alignment.

Dont have any pics,it just plain white, series one 17s,no body kit just the rear spoiler.
Its a trade in at my cousins work so they may put a little more $$ on it.Drivers side main headlight has a crack but i just swap it for the one from my ute for a RWC. Car has a bit of a clunk in the front end but thats normal and easy to fix usually. |

ahhh fair enough. obviously not driven an auto VCT. but i found with the manual they're pretty doughy untill about 3,000 RPM. after that they come to life. so with themanual you can control that more. unsure what an auto's like
