Default Help needed urgently

i just had to have a bad day i had to have a lock nut removed that was sized and cross threaded and they had to distroy the locknut as well as the stud, i have rung around and none one has a matching stud for the 2000 couger, ford will not sell me just the stud and nut they will only sell me the compleat rear hub with the studs in it for $350, and to me thats just rude.

so does anyone have a stud and nut for the rear they are willing to sell me.

Sorry can't help you but I would have thought one off a Probe or a Mondeo would fit OK.

Ring around the wreckers and see what you can find.

Theres a rear hub on the Ebay US now $ 58.90 US dollars.

Hmmm I had a cross-threaded stud on the front hub a while back, was able to re-thread it but yes, it was a pain in the **** to find a replacement one before we resorted to salvaging the original.

Unfortunately you don't have that luxury, but I'd have thought you could source a stud separately. Although a stock wheelnut on it's own from Ford was $65.00 when I checked!

ford eill not sell me just the stud itself they will only sell me the hub with all the studs on it. i been told the mondeo has the same size studs so might look into that .

knock out one of the other studs an take it to Autobarn or the likes the studs are m12 *1.25 the same as a commodore but you have to check the length of the stud and the diamather of the press spline that locks it into the hub I had the same problem with a knob in cranbourne to lazy to look for the to the lock nut so just chiseled the lock nut off cost $500 to fix and i still have to replace front rotors and pad because he damged them as well she shuders under light braking and the brake pad sensor wire is no longer there on the front drivers side so I have a constant warning in my top console
