This seams to be a theme with me at the moment.
I just lost one of my seat belt clips down the back seat (3 door) and so lifted the seat to grab it back and noticed some water sitting above the carpet line. Where is this coming from, are their holes that are not sealed? Any info greatly appreaciated.

Never heard of that problem
Isn't your Fez brand new? I'd be getting back to Ford asap to sort out if it is. |

Do you have children?
Is there something they haven't told you?

I had a leak in mine not too long ago. the boot carpet was wet, so i dont know if its the same place the water is getting in. Mine was leaking from where the taillight screws into the plastic clip, if that makes sense. Its a pretty common fault on Ls focus.

TwinPiston,
Had the same problem. When it rains sometimes water gets in the doors in the gap between where the glass seals with the doors, or if you have your window open when it rains water gets into the gap where the glass goes into the door, and this can then leak into the car. When this happens the cavity in the door fills with water. If you have a look under the door you will see the rubber seal that goes around the door. It has small holes in it to let the water run out when it gets into the door. Sometimes these holes become clogged and water accumulates inside the middle of the door, so much so that in some cases it can be up to about a litre or so (in my case) It can be heard when your driving swishing around. I would say that these holes are clogged and need to be unclogged with a skewer or something similar. This will allow the water to drain out of the bottom of the door and you shouldnt have the problem. Theo. |

Thanks for that, only 1 problem with your theory, and I have heard that one before, I only have 2 doors and the water was sitting on the transmission tunnel (if we had a tail shaft)
Anyhow, the mystery goes on....
