Same pain Ford went through, hopefully the generous packages the staff receive will be enough to keep them going until they find new employment.

I can just picture the Dowling-esque headlines now.
"Holden lays off 400 after $2.1Bn of subsidies" That's what they said about Ford when the same thing happened last year.

Heard recently that the next Commodore would be based on a FWD global platform. I guess this announcement all but confirms it.
A very sad say for the Australian Automotive Industry.
