other night this is after my accident i had, i put the foot down and all of the sudden a air noise blew out my exhaust like a turbo letting off and a huge dust cloud from the weldes on the pipe form extractors to the cat or the cat is self came out, would i have knocked the cat and stuff the stuff in inside as well a peace of cat blew out my exhaust also.
so i went and seen my local exhaust guy and he qouted me 300 bucks to replace my ceramic one with a high flow metal cat, and to redo my pipe from the extractors to the cat and from the cat to the rest of my system where is joins on. thats included fitted as well. Are high flow metal cats better then the ceramic ones, would i lose my v8 kinda sound as i do have at the moment, as you would of herd on my recent videos, any power differences between the 2 cats please give me your opinions cheers

about the only thing i know of is that metal cats are more effective if ur going to add power eg. chip tune etc as they deal with temps and flow better compared to the ceremic and being metal tend to last a while longer too hence the pricce inccrease between cermic and metal cat's.

metal core cats are longer lasting and stronger, they can handle more extreme's in temperature and pressure. Thus why they are the choice for higher performance applications.
Sound wise i doubt u would notice any real difference, flow wise well that depends on what ceramic cat ur comparing to what metal core cat, if its a 200cell per inch ceramic and a 200cell per inch metal core, they should flow roughly the same.
