Default Remember Martin\Molloy

I have been looking everywhere for the skits that Martin/Molloy did on Fox fm from 1995 to 1998. I have The cd's they produced but there is a lot of "Champagne" comedy that never made it to the cd's. Does anyone have recordings of the show or some of the old skits that arnet on the cd's?? or know where to find them?

Do you remember any of these:

Martinade
Ejecto Chair
Pretending to throw cd's and shoot it with a shotgun
The Kransky

I heard a few oldies played on TripleM on the Get This show.

I have the "Brown Album" they did when they were on 2DayFM.

Still pretty funny to this day.

Fantastic show, but I reckon "Get This" was even better. The Brown Album was great...

Get This shaded Martin/Molloy....Infact, the seperation of the two (Martin to Get This and Molloy to Tough Love) showed who was the real brains/comedian between the two....

Ahh We Should Talk!
I would love to painstakingly go through the Get This shows to take out the skits they played.

Yes Get This was fantastic. Agreed about which is the true comedian!

If you look around in the right places you can find all 360 odd episodes for download

Beware it is addictive, and about 16Gb all up

I lent my copy of the Brown Album a few weeks after I got it to a work mate, who got sacked the next week.

I still regret it. Now, is this above link something that leads to an Mp3 version of the Brown Album? All I can find are 2006/2007 folders etc.

Or can anyone else direct me to where or how I can get the Brown Album again, in Mp3 perhaps?

Cheers,

Jason

That is all just Get This shows and Podcasts.

Not sure where the Brown Album can be found in mp3 form. Have seen it on ebay from time to time though.

The only thing I didn't like about Martin Molloy was having to listen to the crappy music between their talk. 2DayFM music was shocking.

It's a shame they played music at all, should have left all their shows pure talk. I didn't tune in to listen to the music.

Yeah you got that with Get this on Triple AM as well.

Good thing about the complete shows above is they are complete minus the ads and music (apart form the music that had "additions" by Tony)

Yes full ep's minus music (no great loss there not having to endure Nickelback and Hinder) and the ads.

So 2006's eps are about 40mins and 2007 are about 1hr-1hr15 each

I was shattered when Get This was taken off air by Triple M Sydney- apparently they didnt play enough music! The point of their show was comedy not music!

Tony Martin I reckon is the funniest bloke on radio/TV. His references in everything to Karl Stefonovic and Brashes stores were pearlers, as was his Tony Soprano dead ringer phone call to Ch 9 complaining about the Soprano's getting shifted around the timeslots

I never understood the insistance of comedy shows playing music. I'm tuning in to laugh. I've got an iPod with the music *I* want to listen to if I wanted music.

It's all academic now, as much as I love Martin Molloy back in the day - I listen to a show that leaves all Australian comedy radio for dead... It's the Howard Stern Show.

Tony Martin and Mick Molloy had a fallout about a year ago and aren't talking last time I read.

Mick Molloy's sense of humour is quite different of Tony Martin's.

Tony Martin is far more intelligent.

Mick Molloy from what I've seen on television relies on less tasteful forms of comedy to get a reaction.

They made a great team though.

I'm a big Late Show fan. I loved the vox pops.

Yeah that was all over an extra's DVD that Tony made for Mick's movie boytown. Some excuse about production costs to finish it were made, even though Tony offered to pay them himself.

From reports of those that have seen the extra's it far outshines the movie, probably why Mick won't release it...

It's "Bargearse". An "***" is a donkey

There was also "The Olden Days" too.

Sadly martin molloy went the same way as all australian comedy has gone since...Its as if australia has lost its sense of humour. The septics havent got a clue how to make something funny.

What a stinker!

But we've become so sensitive to anything nowadays.
The quality of entertainment on all levels has gone right down.

People think The Footy Show is funny, but over time, it's become nothing but a vessel for Sam Newman to talk about his ailing sex life etc.
Filthy.

Frontline was number 2 or 3 in Australia's all-time comedy. Never liked Kath and Kim. Thought the accents were too much of a feature.

Even The Late Show, despite its plethora of bad reviews, still ranked in the top 50. That show was a lot of fun.

"Anyone for toasted sandwiches?"

I crashed my car while listening to Get This. It was Kim Beazley eating cheese. Ive never laughed so hard in my life, wasnt paying attention and bumped the car in front of me.

At the end of the last show i shed a tear (of laughter) and deleted triple m from the memory of every radio i own and havnt listened since.

If you think they can't be funny then you're tuning into the wrong stuff.

martin/molloy was easily one of the best duo's going around.

one of my favourites was the 'tim and phill' skits.

'thets right phull, et wus choice' etc etc.

just gold.

YES!!!!

Here's a short clup of the film, "Once Were Warriors". Unfortunatly, movie producers didn't lut us use the video thut we caught with a hudden munnie can in Vullage Cunuma secs(6), but here is a chulling reinektment:

"Hey butch, brung me my dinnuh, give the kids the fluck, and lets gut pussed"

"That sounds choice"

"But don't guve me any lup, or I'll hut you with my bug fust"

"Now that doesn't sound very choice, I'm pessing off"

"You buttch, you'll be beck, you'll be BEECCCKK!!"
