Hey guys, not too long ago I got my Ps, anyways this is only the second time I've gone out for a drive alone and I decided to explore my local area, I've taken heaps of pictures from inside the car on my 45 minute exploration, when I took the pictures I was stationary to make things safe. I come across a few 4WDs and an older ute on my journey. The pics are all from mobile phone so sorry for the crappy quality.
100km/h dirt road Shes a bit steep: Do I take the bridge? Ford will pass: No flooding here: Mmm, Beef: Screw mowing this grass: More mountains: Someones mote: More mountains: [/img]http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs492.snc3/26890_1356311022623_1076888034_31101349_1950433_n. jpg[/img] Some people wondering what the hell I'm doing, eyeing off their horse: We're in deep now: |

That road is a crapload more steeper than it looks in the photo:
The end of the offroad journey, I turn back so I don't get lost haha: Steep hill again: The grass is really greener on the other side: I'm going up that road: More beef: I think I'll take the bridge this time: No overtaking: Plenty of room for overtaking on this bridge: Green grass: My bush basher on the home stretch: Will it work tomorrow morning? Thats my little journey |

Looks like a big day out, nothing like grabbing the keys and discovering new trails.
By the way, wash your poor car :

Damo, you have a very good eye for what makes an interesting photo! I would love to see what you could do with a proper camera!
I've not travelled through Victoria, so I found your trip to be very pleasant, even on this side of the screen. Thanks for posting your pictures. MM

That can't be Victoria.......no safety cameras in the trees or behind a rock or up a cows bum........
Exploring is always fun. I love to wander around in the bush on trips away. Lucky you were not in a FWD as you would have been killed ten times when you lost control on that dirt due to torque steer and complete lack of handling....... |

Nothing better than a nice drive in the countryside.
But I'm gona be the wowser here, but only being your second time on your own doing 100km/h on dirt in a car that was designed to traverse the vast autobahns of europe with only 1 hand on the tiller while taking pics with your phone. : I'm just glad you didn't become another headline. : nice pics regardless

Poor Fiesta!! How did it handle the terrain? Did you find any stone chips afterwards? Nice journey.

Another spot was coming back and on the big flat 100km/h signed area another car approached over a hill in the distance and we where both on the brakes and we went over to the side to let each other pass, the back end got a little bit slipery under brakes. Also some parts of the road had a steep gradient on them, going off to the left or right while going up hill. I had to be very careful to not go into any potholes as for sure I would have damaged the front bar because its quite a low car. That isnt a dirt road..That looks smoother then the main roads around here hahaha. Most p platers I know would of been chucking donuts on some of them intersections lol.
Here are some of our dirt road adventures .. These are the relatively tame pics lol

Thats what I love most about getting my license, just being able to go where ever you want, turn left go right doesn't matter. Just having the freedom to grab the keys and go for a drive, discovering new places and roads, I love it.

Great work Damo, nothing beats a nice drive in the countryside. The area reminds me of where my outlaws live,Goulburn, but they have no green.
Just on the side, Tankclare, where were the pics of the 4WDs taken. The bloke in the white one, if its not you, looks very much like someone I know from Port Macquarie. PPS Nice work FULL NOISE
