Graeme Cowin has announced that effective immediately, Cowin Family Racing has ceased racing.
“Wendy and I have been racing competitively since 1967 and we are very proud of what we’ve achieved as a family, both in Australia and in the States,” said Graeme Cowin. “It’s been a wonderful journey for us and we wouldn’t trade it for anything. “In the latter years our twin sons John and Andrew have given us plenty of reasons to smile. Andrew has signed a multi-year contract with an American race team and he has our blessing, but now it’s time for us to sit back and take life a bit easier. “Maybe we’ll find time to stop and smell those roses now,” added Graeme with a chuckle. “We’re still very passionate about drag racing and will continue to be involved with the sport but now it will be in different ways like the Rocket All Stars Racing Series,” he continued. “There are a lot of positives ahead for Rocket Industries and drag racing. It’s an exciting new phase for all of us. “On behalf of Cowin Family Racing I would like to say a sincere thank you to all of our friends and fans for their support and friendship over the last 38 years,” said Graeme. “Thank you for the memories.” To squash any rumours, the Cowin Family Racing Top Fuel Dragsters and equipment have been sold to an undisclosed buyer. Very sad news thanks for the memories Graeme. word is that bob shepherd has brought one of the cars. would of been nice to see andrew race against doug kalita and dave grubnic on boxing day at wsid |

Thanks also to Wendy, as she has had a major input in Graemes past activities ever since their fuel altered days.

They were very good at what they did, in particular the Top Fuel category whereby in the small field they we do have, they were very consistant with their runs
