Default XR50 Front bar question.

Hi peeps ive just fitted an xr50 front bar and my car is way to low to get out driveways and so on.
What springs and hight do the people that have the same bar use?
My wheels at the moment sit just up under the guard no idea how low it it as i bought it like that.
Some sugestions would be great.

PM Bucknaked as he has a XR50 bar on his AU or failing that PM JC. But at a guess I would say the ride height should around 655mm.

If you go up to Superlows (or maybe even Lows/XR height like Bucky's car), you should get the clearance you need - I rekon it must be sitting on SSLs at the front. Looks tough, but totally impractical.

I have the xr50 bar with the fulll TS50 kit as well, my car is at stock falcon height, except rear has sagged due to lots of heavy towing before the kit went on... ANYWAY
I can JUST get into my driveway, and you cant park at shops because the front is too low and will hit the little concrete stopper thingos that most cars hit with there front tyres.

Looks nice on your car, but i think you paid a BIT too much for the bar!!

They are worth around $500 with GST. Adam from AWC used to do a deal for AFF members, so your price is good. Don't worry about that BA driving buffoon! LOL. AWC's latest price is $550 for the bar and includes the mesh (http://www.awcinfo.com/secureshop/ca...php?cat_id=299)

ROFL. It's the BA influence, everyone knows they're all BS artists (anyone who can deny to an AU owners face that the BA is in no way related to an AU has to have the gift of BS'ing!).

I have a xr50 kit fitted to my car with standard xr ride height in the front and kings super lows in the rear without having any probs getting in most driveways. It's all about the angle you take and you soon learn how to it

I've got the factory suspension in my car, and the bar still scrapes. If I go for angles, its a lot less of a hassle. I am going to lower the car shortly,s o this should make for some exciting days.

hmmm,i might change it back to standard xr hight then, its ashame as it drove great before.
Maybe i should modify the front bar itself and take a couple inches out of the bottom and re fibreglass it :/
Hmmm dont know.

Bucknaked if i change mine back to standard height you want to buy my lowered pedders :P

Thanks for the offer, but I'm going to get a bit of work done to the suspension, so I'll just go with what the suspension guy does. Thanks anyway.

It will still drive well at standard XR height (King Lows), but if you want it to corner better than standard, then upgrade swaybar link bushes with nolathane items, and maybe even the swaybars themselves (not necessary though).

LOL, I know what you mean about the ride heighty, had 80mm clearance when I had the 18's. Easy solution though, just buy yourself a set of 20's and you'll be right. :nutsycuck :nutsycuck
