A 360. Probably wouldn't be so bad if you gutted the interior. Body looks in good nick.

I had a mate that had a Chrysler by Chrysler (always couldn't quite work that one out) 360 who, one day before going on a cruise decided that he would quickly race down to the servo because he was literally running on fumes. Those 360's sure could drink so he flattened it all the way down the street, sideways at the intersection and flat to the boards again.

Upon return we asked him, if you were running on fumes, why did you floor it? His reply; 'I wanted to make it in time to the servo before my fuel ran out'.

Ha, my cousin's friend was the original winner of that car some years ago. I'll have to check but I thought it was 6 when she got it - could be wrong. Should have seen them the first friday night - 5 girls going cruising in that thing dressed like tarty strippers Ho's. They got a fair bit of attention that night.

OT The exterior look nice, but the interior needs to ditch the zebra and purple wheel! Doesb't need engine mods, its a cruiser, not a bruiser.

I remeber a XP coupe copped a similer treatment a few years back...

it's not a 360. it's a Chrysler by Chrysler CL Regal. the 360c.i V8 is a type of motor they were optioned with but very very very rare. my old man has one which is a 265c.i 6 cyl. Valiant by Chrysler was the everyday joe average car. Chrysler by Chrysler was like Fords Fairlane and the Chrysler by Chrysler Regal was like Fords LTD. Very pimped out.

I've never seen or heard of a 360 in post-VK Valiant? Might just be a transplant.
Speaking of 360s, the number of people who think Rambler Matadors and FSJ Jeeps have CHRYSLER 360s in them ... they are usually disapppointed when they get them home. The front-mounted distributor is usually a give-away ..

Never heard of a Chrysler by Chrysler Regal.

The Valiant Regal was like the Fairmont equivalent of the big Val. Like you said the Chrysler by Chrysler was a Fairlane/LTD competitor normally optioned with the 360 V8 but not always.

The ad doesnt say it has a 360 anyway, the seller has mistakenly put a 6 in the engine displacement section meaning its a 6cyl. Happens a lot on Ebay!! A 360 is actually a 5.9L I believe.

I have always loved these 70's big Valiants. The Charger had all the street cred it deserved in those days and the CL-CM models have aged gracefully IMO.

One thing that has always puzzled me though, why was the rear door handle mounted up so high and out of place on the 4 door versions????? It never did and still doesn’t look right to me.

Does your Chrysler by Chrysler have a big Chrome Bumper Bar and Twin Headlights?
