AC Problem (fixed)

Hi guys,

Sharing some info with my AU Classic.

For a while the A/C hasn't been as cold as it use to be. The car's six years old, so maybe time for regas. Dropped it off at a local garage near work, and they called a few hours later wanting to dismantle the vacuum system because there was warm air entering the car when the a/c was off. The quoted price started at a couple of hundred dollars. Bugger that! I told them to regas the system and I'd worry about the rest.

It turns out I needed to adjust the heater box cable, located behind the glovebox. It's only a small procedure in the Gregory's manual, and easily missed, but only took 5 min before heading off to work.

Problem solved! Nice, cold air

I was surprised; I needed to adjust the cable by almost 1/4" (and have now run out of adjustment, but that's a problem for 2012).
