How did you get them off? What did you use to rub the glue off? My dealer put a badge from them on it, and I want to take it off! Once I do, I reckon they will put another on at the next service.

Bad enough that they expect free advertising from the rego plate surround without sticking things onto your vehicle without permission. You could always send them an invoice for advertising the dealership!

a bog applicator to get the badge off. and prepsol/de-solv-it to get the glue off. personally i wouldnt use a hairdryer because the area of paint around the badge my become soft briefly and might bubble

On really hot summers day those badges will peel off with the glue all in one go. A couple drops of Inox or WD40 on the badge [on the adhesive part]will disolve the glue as well.

i don't know what the badges are like on that car, but fishing wire is excellent for taking the badge off, just use it like a saw and cut thru the doublesided tape/glue. then you can rub the remainder off, and use eucalyptus oil or tolulene to get the residue off. Tolulene is excellent and wont damage the paint, but eucalyptus oil is similarly good, and more of a hoousehold item.

Nice one. I have thought about doing it quite a few times (usually after the XR5 has ripped/snagged on my sponge/microfibre cloth)
