Default 2014 Cadillac CTS

Quote:
It seems the 2014 Cadillac CTS just doesn't want to stay under wraps. For the second time in as many days, Caddy's next sedan is showing a bit more sheetmetal than the automaker would like before it is officially debuted tomorrow at the New York Auto Show.

This time, the leak comes from USA Today, and we've gone ahead and added them to our gallery of 2014 CTS images. As you may know, Cadillac will bestow the next CTS with an all-new twin-turbo V6 engine that will offer up an impressive 420 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.

USA Today also mentions a new Vsport model but doesn't give any more details other than the fact that it will boast the twin-turbo engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Of course, all you have to do is come back to these pages for the official unveiling tomorrow afternoon for all the sordid details. In the meantime, check out the images above.

Well i have to say this is one good looking sedan in and out.
I never was a fan of the current one's style but inside it is very very comfortable and the quality is quite good.
I had the privilege of being chauffeured home from a soccer match in a black Cadillac CTS (V6). I was impressed.

It screams Mercedes Benz to me, that's not a bad thing.
The LED's are a bit much but that's all the rage at the moment.

Don't say that, Drive will end up doing an article headlined 'Is this the 2017 commodore'.

I drove on way back when the V6 was coming out in the VE. They are nice, that new one smacks of BMW to me but thats hardly a bad thing.

Poo brown leather, blah. Reminds me of a colour scheme you'd see in a 70's Fairlane.

Not a fan of really upright front ends though, it looks like something you'd see on an SUV. They should have laid the grille back a bit.

There are cues from the Chrysler 300 around the front and bonnet. Exterior styling is a bit too fussy for my tastes but I like the interior.

Front end has quite a lot of GT-R to it with those daytime running lights and the shape around there.

looks not bad, i guess style is important, as they are not worrying about that big exposed grille with no bumper on the front.

As in Zeta Caprice based....

Interesting fact , the 2.0 Turbo CTS weighs just over 3600 lbs, similar to the Ecoboost Falcon..

unfortunately many makes are doing this now, new Mondeo looks to be doing that, the Focus ST has a big mouth showing with no bumper.
Previous 300C did it.

Very awesome in all respects except those very plain jane exterior door handles and the front grill is too reminiscent of 300C to me (too tall).

Can see Holden doing an Alpha II or low costs alpba off this thing, used as the basis for camaro also.

Does it have a wishbone or strut front end? How many alloy links in the suspension.

The Alpha platform has a strut front suspension with separate lower links in place of a control arm—
much like that of the BMW 3-series—to provide better steering geometry. The steering is an electrically
assisted ZF rack-and-and pinion gear with a rack-mounted motor. In back, there’s a multilink setup with
a mixture of aluminum and lightweight-steel links. Anti-roll bars, with direct-acting links, are used at both
ends, as are rubber-isolated subframes to reduce road and suspension noise.

Actually like a few large GM cars now its based on the omega platform which is the aussie designed VE/F commodore.

Always loved the caddys style but they always drove poorly and had a poor fit, i wonder if this has changed now that its a aussie design.

Why cant holden make their cars look this good.
