Why do they use such high prices like 42 for an xt falcon! to start with? As if any private or fleet customer would pay any where near that for a standard falcon/commodore! Be lucky to be 30 grand for fleets when you can buy xr6s for 35 on the road.

Where do they get those fuel numbers from? Isn't the Falcon supposed to be equal to the Aurion in fuel consumption now? Only brings it down to $229 though. Resale is what's killing it :(

That's the E-Gas Falcon that comes out on top, not the petrol version.

Surely that on-road cost is wrong. According to the FOA web site, the XR6 is currently $35,990 drive away. Surely an XT is a few $$$ less than an XR6.

This is exactly why I said in the thread about the RRP cost of a Falcon going up is ridiculous. No-one pays anything like full retail except the early adopters.

If they dropped the price down to closer to what most purchasers (fleet and private), then the resale looks much better. Ie $35990 versus $43990 at full retail. There goes $8000 in depreciation already. Which is about 20%.

People think Falcon has bad resale at between 45-60% for the sedans. But really it's closer to 60-70% after 3 years.

All of these comparos are VERY subjective.

How much dirt/mountain/snow/rain driving?
What fuel is available and how far do you have to go to get it?
How many KMs per year?
What load are you carrying?

These things are almost always based on a capital suburban driver who commutes a on urban roads and occaisionally wanders up the highway and does maybe 15,000km/year.

Drive your Omega on dirt roads all the time and see what happens.
Drive your Aurion full of large heavy people (sometimes in blue pajamas ) and see what happens.
Drive your Falcon on crap fuel at high speed for long periods and see what happens.

The numbers will be VERY different.

On the other hand, if you are suburbanite who commutes with the odd highway blast with 2+2 pax then use the comparo.....
