the 'winner of summernats' would be the Summernats Grand Champion.
Ange won Street Machine Of The Year, the competition run by Street Machine magazine ;)
The cheque and trophy are presented at the Summernats

Absolutely killer car, and brilliant shots in street Machine by my mate Dean Summers.

You can see all his shots @ Flickr DEAN'S PHOTOS just go to the side menu and select the automotive galleries.

I just re read the article, and it says nothing how how she got into mining, if and how many shops helped build her car. She would be no different to any other street machine of the year winner. I am sure those who don't already have succesfull workshops would have enlisted the help of other professionals. She credits her dad for putting in the work.

So unless you have inside information, you really should elborate on the hatred you have for this woman and her achievement?

Well who ever built the car or has done all the work male or female, it looks fantastic and they deserve to win. I have seen a few others pics of the cars in the same field and I really like this one (although I love the purple color :p ) so good on her for entering, I am sure she has put in the hard yards and it is nice to see her crediting other people for the help she had to get the car going

Interceptor, i have a question for you: what gives you the right to tell us she deserves a bullet? or that the "torture methods" you would use would be worse than that of the CIA? did the fact a female has got such a nice car and won such an award perhaps touched a nerve?

as for the comments about mining, well, sometimes the most qualified for the job gets the job, other times it could be that not everyone in the mining town so desperatly wants or needs to work in the mines, there are other prospects out there. off you jump from that high horse now; unless you think your comments are actually validated on this forum!

Interceptor, acid belongs in batteries not in your brain. BTW Howard Astill's Mustang had it all over that Torana.

You must be joking right??? Do you just take any opportunity to whinge about anything that could possibly offend your seemingly over sensitive existance?? The same pictures make their way into every other TV add, every other newspaper, every othr magazine flogging everything from jocks to jet ski's.

Really mate, maybe the internet isn't for you.

Sorry, about that. Shots like that have always been friendly with my family

There's no nudity in there... in fact I published a lot of those shots in car magazines over the last couple of years, so they are pretty tame.

Nothing for you to be sorry about. *edited

Those food shots are making me hungry. It's offensive to my appetite :hihi:

Those photos are excellent. Love the glamour shots. Nothing cheap or smutty about those shots.

Win for the girls - excellent - it might be a great publicity tool to get more people into cars.

Car looks awesome and it looks like a well deserved win.

Haven't read the full article yet, but I see also in this months SM a young girl has won Snapon Tools apprentice of the year, and was presented with cheque and award at the 'Nats as well . Big day for the ladies, good to see.
