Default radio change.

Is it possible to put an upspec. fairmont radio in a series 1 futura, and will it work ok? I am thinking that the wiring looms may be different.

Yes it will work, but the steering wheel controls won't.

if you put a series 2 radio in a series 1 you will have to dissconnect the steering wheel control wire at the headunit or as soon as you turn it on the volume will shoot up to maximum . you can put a S1 fairmont stereo with it's stacker unit in any S1 car

Does anyone know what wires are for the steering wheel controls at the plug on the back of the stereo?
