I am excited by this engine. It is several years overdue but better late than never. My next Falcon will be one of these. Economy, driveability and packaging will be superior to the E-gas equipped Falcons.

The toss up for me is either the EcoBoost I4T Falcon, the LILPG Falcon, diesel Territory or new diesel Ranger when all are released later this year. They are all exciting me now and I want to replace the tired old EL now!

Go the LILPG as it will have a local engine. The I4 and V6 will be imported.

I posted a while bcak that Ford have TM'ed the name EcoLPI not too long ago... dunno if they will use it though

I would seriously consider one, but if the tyre in the boot is the same as what they had with the last e-gas models then it will be a no go for me.

Don't forget that the excise on LPG comes in next year too. That will push the gap in price between LPG and unleaded closer together over the next 5 years.

Had 2 e-gas Falcons here, Im sick of waiting for the new LPG falcon it had better be bloody good. If in the off chance they decide to make a turbo model, Id run down to my Ford dealer and put a deposit down tomorrow.

At this stage, I wouldn't hold my breath. The purge issue, if it still hasn't been sorted out yet, is a HUGE issue and would make the difference between an approved and a non-approved product. Time will tell...
